simply
i was a mere simple boy
when simple meant simple joy
and now being simple's
not simple anymore
life became so complicated
and at times so desperate(d)
it came to a crisis
of my head
but i was a mere simple boy
when simple meant simple joy
and new being simple's
not simple anymore
it's hard to imagine
all gone like a phantom
the quest i was on
to be me
but i was a mere simple boy
when simple meant simple joy
and now being simple's
not simple anymore
if trust were a gamble
it gave out like a sample
into a hungry mouth
cracking teeth
i was a mere simple boy
when simple meant simple joy
and now being simple's
not me.

hi. this is a beauty of a poem.
the lost innocence, the lost desire of love for life and self.
you've written with a caring hand
for that lost sweet simple boy.

I suppose we can't look back even though we all do it. For some reason, I don't think you were as simple as you seem to claim. I know better. xox
thank you paige...i'll have to check out your words, your comments are so graceful.
and rebecca...innocence lost is no claim, it actually does happen, even to not so simple me. xo
Peter - I wasn't referring to innocence, but being simple. I think you are rather complex, in a good way. That's all. I hope you didn't take that the wrong way, love. You forgot an 'x'. :)
All for me???
