lie still
and be with me
morning will dissolve soon enough
but just for now
let the sea's life blood flow
free the spellbound spirit
let the swirling stars
swish and swoon
in celestial seduction
let the fullest moon
swell the slenderest of souls.
lie still
and be with me
surrender to the succumbing sea
let not even the smashing on the rocks
disturb this sensual night

I love this! It paints a calming, serene and romantic picture in my mind. I can go to that place very easily with your selection of words.
I must have been a whale or dolphin in a former life. Currently, I feel like the whale is the obvious choice. I love the ocean and the sea and pretty much any large body of water.
Fabulous write!
I just like the fact that you are asking to have this special someone want to stay with you just a little bit longer, not just for your sake or for your longing, but perhaps for hers as well. This is really just so beautiful and I hate using that word to describe poetry but really and truly that is what this is.
What kind of night was this that you do not even want the smashing on rocks to disturb such a sensual night? I think I need a night like this... yes, yes I do. Mmmmmm. :)
Peter, I counted eighteen of my favorite "s" words, which tie together the one thought for me...
SHE and I...and nothing else, not even smashing sound of sea against rock to disturb. Be still, woman, and know that we are not God. We are US, love and peacefulness.
