spin

a tiny spin
of this earth eats the sun
offers oranges to the famished night
brings wines to the parched sky
twilights lovers in soft silhouette
alters wayward horizons
sends artists on a capture...
as if the earth had stopped
for just one beautiful moment...
then begins again
as you fall in love

Another beautiful write!

My favorite lines:
offers oranges to the famished night
brings wines to the parched sky

Fabulous!

Ooooh!!! I really, really LOVE this one. I think the reason why is because it has incredible imagery. How is it that that the earth could stop even for a moment as someone is falling in love? How incredible must that love be to stop the freakin' earth from rotating? Wow! Does it get any better than this? I think not. I have chills now. I love the title, too. When we fall in love, we are spinning out of contol, perhaps???? Although, here, the earth has stopped, so we are not spinning, yet we are.... Oooh, you are good....!!!!!!

The earth stopping reminds me of that moment when your breath catches as you realize you've fallen in love, or seen the one who captures your heart....all else ceases to exist for a moment except the two. That's exactly what this reminds me of ;0)
